Optional Excursions
Our tours are carefully planned to offer you a comfortable balance of sightseeing, entertainment, and leisure time. Experience shows, however, that many travelers like to use their free time to make one or more additional excursions. The optional excursions we offer for the Heart of the British Isles Tour are listed below along with approximate prices and times, as well as the cities from which they are operated. Detailed descriptions of the specific excursions for your tour will also be sent with your Trip Documents Packet.
Optional Excursions must be booked with and paid to your tour manager in Europe. Prices are in American Dollars, and you may pay with US Dollars in cash or with credit card (only VISA, Mastercard and Discover are accepted). If you pay by credit card, you must be able to present the actual card to the tour manager. Please note that personal checks and traveler's checks are not accepted. Operation of all excursions is subject to sufficient participation, and some excursions are dependent on favorable weather conditions. Your tour manager reserves the right to make changes to or cancel these excursions at his/her sole discretion.
Tower of London - 1:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m. in London, US$45
Your tour manager or local guide will show you around this castle built by William the Conqueror. Capture on of the famed "Beefeaters" on camera and admire the Crown Jewels.
London Dinner - 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. in London, US$90
London offers many dining options. To help you make a choice, your tour manager will offer dinner at a local restaurant.
Warwick Castle - 4:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m. from Coventry, US$45
Drive to Warwick for a guided tour of its 1000-year-old castle. During the tour you'll admire the lovely gardens, towers, ramparts, and interior.
Scottish Dinner Show - 6:30 p.m.-10:00 p.m. in Edinburgh, US$75
At Prestonfield's "Taste of Scotland", enjoy traditional singing, dancing, and music making along with a delicious dinner of typical Scottish fare. Of course there is the traditional Ceremony of the Haggis.
Irish Cabaret Dinner - 6:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. in Dublin, US$75
Attend a cabaret celebrating Irish music, song, and dance and savor a three-course meal topped off with a delicious Irish coffee.
Ring of Kerry - 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. from Killarney, US$45
Enjoy a stunning, scenic tour along the coast of the Iveragh Peninsula, which includes lunch in Waterville. Stops may include Bog Village, Dingle Bay, and Sneem, where you can take pictures and experience unforgettable ocean and lake views.
Pub Crawl with Dinner - 6:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. in Killarney, US$55
Have a pint of ale or other beverage at three friendly Irish pubs. The last one will host dinner for your group and tour manager.
